 I’ve heard from so many of you looking for a unique and meaningful way to honor our friend, “Zanny.” Suzanne loved life and art and combined those loves in her belief that designing a garden was a form of art. So, what better way to honor our friend and classmate than with a memorial garden at Knox using some of the designs Suzanne created during her studies at the New York Botanical Gardens. We’ve selected an area on campus that is sunny, just like Zanny’s personality. It intersects three walkways near the residential Quads so will be a visible area.  It will feature a variety of perennials, mixed with stepping stones, a bench for rest and relaxation, and a marker to memorialize our friend for years to come.  And just off to the side of the garden will be a piece of perpetual art, where Knox students will share their artistic moods day and night. Art and flowers…I think Zanny will like it!

Please help us honor our friend Suzanne with this wonderful garden at Knox.  The garden will be dedicated at 4 pm on Saturday, October 20, 2012, at Knox’s Homecoming and the 20^th Reunion of the Class of 1992.
