News Knox Alumni Meet the Challenge By midnight on June 30 -- the end of the Knox College fiscal year -- more than 5,000 Knox alumni had given to the College, helping Knox receive $100,000 from Duke '74 and Nancy Petrovich. Political Science Faculty Member Named to Endowed Chair L. Sue Hulett, professor of political science, has been named the Richard P. and Sophia D. Henke Distinguished Professor at Knox College. The endowed chair was established in 2007 by a $1 million gift from Richard '56 and Sophia Henke. Knox Professors and Students Excavating Jordanian Site Two Knox College faculty will explore how an ancient Middle Eastern settlement solved economic and ecological challenges, and -- along with four Knox students -- spend this summer excavating a site in Jordan and sharing their findings in a blog.
